Hilda Oliver Perkins (1912-1999) married Owen Kent Nielson and when he died she married Owen's second cousin, Ray William Perkins. Hilda Oliver Perkins was born 11 August 1912 in Blanding, San Juan, Utah to John Henry and Sara E. Dalton Oliver. John died when Hilda was only six weeks old of typhoid fever. Gene Foushee grew up in North Carolina and received a degree in geology from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He joined the Air Force after college and served in Germany, then moved west after his tour of duty to find work. His first job was with Union Carbide in Uravan, Colorado.
